The VII Festa do Botelo in Vigo would close the season of exaltation of the Botelo for Galician geography

This year, the seventh edition of the Festa do Botelo in Vigo will not be possible to celebrate due to the restrictions that are being experienced due to Covid-19. As it had been tradition on the first Saturday of the month of March, the round of exaltation of the bottle closed in the olive city. At the Hotel Coia, the attendees tasted this sausage king of Valdeorrés winter and eagerly awaited the arrival of the next party.

This would be the last promotional act of the bottle this season outside the Valdeorres lands. The Barco Council hopes to be able to celebrate, as soon as possible, this festival and continue to promote the bottle in different parts of the Galician geography. The Festa do Botelo was declared a Festival of Tourist Interest in Galicia in 2004 and this will be the first year that no public festive activity is celebrated but the tradition continues to be kept alive with its consumption in the homes of Valdeorras.
