Almost 20 establishments are participating in the XII Ruta de Pinchos

About twenty different offerings can be sampled in the “XII Ruta de pinchos O Barco vai de Vinos”, scheduled to take place January 12 – 20. This gastronomic tour will also be the best prelude to the XXI Festa do Botelo, which is being held in 2023 after two years of inactivity.

 

Almost 20 hospitality establishments are participating in the XII edition of the “O Barco Vai de Vinos” Pinchos Route, which is taking place January 12 – 20. Each of the establishments will offer a special pincho (small plate) which will be sold at a price of €2.50. The route is organised by the O Barco City Council and the Asociación Empresarial de Valdeorras (AEVA) business association, as well as the Centro Comercial Abierto (CCA).

Customers will be able to vote for their favourite pinchos; to choose the winner they must deposit their vote in the ballot boxes that will be set up in the participating establishments. Four dinners for two will also be raffled off among the customers who try the pinchos in at least 5 of the participating venues.

The mayor of O Barco, Alfredo García, recalls the positive reception this initiative has enjoyed, “a total success since the first year”. According to the mayor, the Route marks the beginning of “what I call the 2 big months for gastronomy in O Barco, with the Pincho Route, the Festa do Botelo and the Gastronomy Celebration, which will continue until the month of February”.
