The central activities of the XXI edition of the Festa do Botelo will be held on Saturday, January 21, from 12:00 p.m. Tickets for the meal, which will take place in the Pabellón Polideportivo de Calabagueiros from 2:30 p.m., will go on sale on Saturday the 14th, from 9 a.m., in the Lauro Olmo Theater. There will be a total of 1,150 tickets, which this year will cost 20 euros.

The program of activities starts on Thursday the 19th, with the screening of the film “The Open Body”, at the Teatro Lauro Olmo. There will be three sessions, at 5, 7 and 9 p.m. On Friday the 20th, at 9:00 p.m. on the same stage, the performance of the play “Pirolíticos” by the company “Mofa e Befa” is offered.

On the 21st, the activities begin at 12 o’clock in the morning with the proclamation and delivery of the honorable mention, at the Lauro Olmo Theatre. It will be presented by actress Fátima Delgado, and the honorable mention will go to Adela Pombo Fernández, retired cook from CEIP Condesa de Fenosa.

The actor Federico Pérez Rey “Fede” will be in charge of reading this year’s proclamation, which will end with the performance of Orfeón Valdeorrés.

Before the meal, in the promenade between the Lauro Olmo Theater and the Calabagueiros Pavilion, and during it, 7 musical groups will provide entertainment for this party. The tavern songs, in the old town and on the Malecón, and starring the same groups, will take place from 7:00 p.m.

The concert by the renowned artist María do Ceo will close the events of this party. It will be on Sunday, the 22nd, at 8:00 p.m. at the Lauro Olmo Theatre.
