The VI Festa do Botelo in the city of Vigo will be held on Saturday, March 7, at the Coia Hotel. Close to 200 diners will taste the unique bottle accompanied by cachelos and vegetables thus closing the promotion season for this Valdeorré sausage outside of its homeland. The actor, storyteller and monologist, Avelino González, will be one of the guests along with other personalities from the olive city.

The meal will begin  at 2:00 p.m. with soup and maravalas empanada; then the bottle will be served, and for dessert the roxón cake. All accompanied by wines from Valdeorras. The price of the meal is 28 euros per person. The event will close with a musical performance.

This will be the last promotional event for the bottle this season. This year, the Barco Council organized a series of activities to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Botelo do Barco Festival and continues to work to publicize the sausage king of Valdeorres winter, the Botelo. The Festa do Botelo has been a Festival of Tourist Interest in Galicia since 2014.
