The Botelo accompanied the presentation of the Florencio’s Letters project in Vitoria Gasteiz and Donostia
This weekend the As Letras de Florencio project, to claim Galician Letters Day for the poet from Vilamartín, brought together around 150 people in the Galician Centers of Vitoria Gasteiz and Donostia.
The protagonists were the figure of the poet Florencio Delgado Gurriarán and the products of the Valdeorresa region. The menu that was prepared by the cooks of the San Mauro Restaurant (Divina and Sandra) had the most traditional empanadas of the area (costrelas and maravallas); followed by a stew with Botelo and for dessert a chestnut cake and pancakes with honey. All accompanied by wines from the wineries O Casal, D’Berna, A Pinguela and Roandi.
At the dinner in Vitoria Gasteiz, the Mayor of Petín, Miguel Bautista, the project director, Debora Álvarez and the winemaker Fuco Nuñez were presented with a figure of the traditional Celidonio, emblematic figure of the Virxe Blanca festivities. And in the city of Donostia, the president of the House of Galicia, Xoan Alonso Domínguez, offered the history of the institution in the form of books and CDs that show the work that these centers have been doing for decades.
