The Botelo do Barco de Valdeorras comes to Vigo for the third year
The third Festa do Botelo in the city of Vigo will be held this Saturday, March 11. The place of this new edition will be the restaurant of Hotel Coia, just like in the celebration of previous years. The Council of Barco de Valdeorras (Ourense) is organizing this new Botelo festival in the olive town to continue the dissemination of the product king of Valdeorras winter. The botelo, consisting of the pig’s stomach stuffed with marinated ribs, smoked and consumed cooked, is achieving great recognition and diffusion outside the Valdeorres lands.
The meal will start at 2:30 p.m. with the traditional stewed soup and the typical maravallas empanada. The main course will have botelo as the protagonist and accompanied by cachelos, chorizos and vegetables. For dessert there will be a kiss and a musical performance. The meal costs €25 per person and reservations can now be made by paying to an account number that the restaurant has open.
This Festival of Tourist Interest in Galicia since 2014 celebrated its seventeenth edition last January 21 in the town of Barco. Last February 11th, the IV edition of the party was held in A Coruña and the promotion round ends in Vigo this Saturday.
