The Botelo do Barco de Valdeorras will arrive in Vigo on March 3 for the fourth year
The fourth Festa do Botelo in the city of Vigo will be held on Saturday, March 3. The place of this new edition will be the restaurant of Hotel Coia, just like in the celebration of previous years. Barco de Valdeorras Council is organizing this new Botelo festival in the olive town to continue the dissemination of the Valdeorras king of winter product. The botelo, consisting of the pig’s stomach stuffed with marinated ribs, smoked and consumed cooked, is achieving great recognition and diffusion outside the Valdeorres lands.
Lunch will start at 2:30 p.m. with the traditional stewed soup and the typical maravallas empanada. The main course will have botelo as the protagonist, accompanied by cachelos, chorizos and vegetables. For dessert there will be kissing and a musical performance. The meal costs €27 per person and reservations can now be made by paying to an account number that the restaurant has open.
This Festival of Tourist Interest in Galicia since 2014 celebrated its eighteenth edition last January 20 in the town of Barco. Last February 3, the fifth edition of the party was held in A Coruña and the promotion round will end in Vigo in March.
